Give a Helping Hand
St. James United Church is made up of many volunteers who give countless hours of their free time but, as a nonprofit charitable organization, we also depend on financial generosity to carry out good works in the community and around the world.
Please consider a donation in any amount you choose. A charitable tax receipt will be provided early in the new year for the total amount of this year's donation(s) so be sure to include your full mailing address and contact information. Donations are in Canadian funds. | When you click "Donate", you will be directed to secure and convenient online payment via PayPal. Once you have completed your contact info, the next screen will have a space provided that says "I want to direct my donation to" which is where you can indicate how you want your donation used. Choose one of the following:
- Local Church Expenses ~ this is usually our greatest area of need as funds here help us carry out the ongoing day-to-day business of the church including utilities, snow removal and grounds maintenance, printing, paper and postage costs, phone, internet and website expense, plus all of the other expenses that keep us an active part of the community.
-
- Benevolent Fund ~ these funds are provided to local outreach projects in the Peterborough area when specific needs arise.
-
- Mission and Service Fund (M&S) ~ these funds are sent to The United Church of Canada for outreach projects beyond our local area to Canada and worldwide.
Can't decide? Where a particular purpose is not identified, your donation will be directed to where the need is the greatest at that time. If you are a current church member, please include your number from your weekly givings envelope for inclusion in next year's tax receipt.
The people of St. James thank you for your generous donation.
