St. James Men's Club

In 1959, St James United Church sent a delegation of sixteen men to a Belleville-Quinte Conference to learn about United Church Men’s Clubs.  Later that year they agreed to form a men’s club and their first charter was sponsored by Bridge Street United Church in Belleville.  41 men from St. James joined and were led by First President, Bert Geary.  Of the original 41, only three remain active in the club:  Bert Geary, Stu Frey and Jack Byers.

We hold monthly meetings to plan and host various community activities for fun and fund-raising throughout the year.  There are now 56 club members and newcomers are always welcome!
