St. James is an intergenerational congregation that is very proud to be Affirming. Through worship, prayer and study, we are always working on becoming more welcoming. Members have the opportunity to serve in a variety of leadership roles, within the church and in the broader community with other not-for-profit programs and organizations. As a member of St. James, you will be part of a faith community that cares deeply for one another, for people everywhere, and for all of creation.

We are a service group with outreach throughout the community, the country and the world. Newcomers always welcome!

The Tuesday Morning Craft Club meets each week from 9:15-11:00AM from early September till mid-June. We assemble knitted blankets which are taken to the Youth Emergency Shelter, scarves to the “In From the Cold” program; and knitted blankets and baby items to the Lighthouse.

​The St. James Players is a not-for-profit, volunteer community theatre group based in Peterborough, ON. They perform two musicals a year: a fall musical at Showplace and a spring children's musical at St. James United Church. Proceeds from the shows go to local charity. Interested persons are invited to audition to join the group.
